Dear Sirs,
I've a problem with starting of cflowdmux under Solaris 5.8
with non-root permissions. When I am attempting to start it
under some user (that is different from root) I see the following in
cflowd.log:
...
Jun 24 15:18:49 danger cflowdmux[11711]: [ID 550135 local5.error] [E]
shmat(3700,0,0) failed: Permission denied {CflowdPacketQueue.cc:252}
Jun 24 15:18:49 danger cflowdmux[11711]: [ID 170486 local5.crit] [C]
shmctl(3700,IPC_RMID,0) failed: Not owner {CflowdPacketQueue.cc:255}
Jun 24 15:18:49 danger cflowdmux[11711]: [ID 622749 local5.alert] [A]
g_packetQueue.Create("/usr/local/arts/etc/cflowd.conf",2097152) failed:
Not owner {cflowdmux.cc:457}
Jun 24 15:18:49 danger cflowdmux[11711]: [ID 680678 local5.alert] [A]
failed to create packet queue! Exiting. {cflowdmux.cc:459}
...
As far as I understand It's not enough permissions to attach new shared
memory segment. Under RH linux it works just fine. Under Solaris - no.
Could someone help me and suggest where should I fix it?
thanks in advance,
Denis Serechenko
