David serves as senior technical manager of all CAIDA tool development
and research efforts.
He oversees Internet measurement
tool development projects such as CoralReef, OC48mon, Internet
analysis, and visualization tool development projects such as GeoPlot,
NetGeo, and Graph.pm. Prior to joining CAIDA in April 1998, David was
a contributing member of the XEmacs Development Team and author of
Tiny Muck 2.3 (Multi-User Networked Interaction Environment).
David received his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science,
with a concurrent Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from the
University of California, San Diego, in 1996. David began work on his
Masters in Computer Science in 1997. In his spare time, David figure
skates in local ISI competitions.
