The page provides an interactive interface to the results of our observations related to the evolution of DNS root traffic. The data presented is based on DITL datasets across four years (2006-2009).
We provide two types of graphs: one characterizes DNS root traffic for each year separately; the second type compares our analysis results across years, roots, and roots instances. The graphs present workload related statistics about traffic to the root servers, including distributions of queries rates, clients, query types, DNS pollution, and client address heatmaps.
