Animation of 2004 Insight Race Across America (RAAM) race. Since we only have the timestation information from raceacrossamerica.org, we don't know how far a rider has gotten beyond the last timestation they hit. Between timestations, we treat each rider as moving at their average speed between those stations. This is why riders seem to all pile up at time stations near the end of the animation.
Solo riders are circles. Teams are squares.
The legend is now sorted by rider position in the race, with the leading rider in each category listed first. For further details about rider position, see the RAAM rider position webpage.
