Projects

I'm working with CAIDA on a cooperation basis coming from NIC Chile, .CL ccTLD registry. The results of this agreement could be seen here.

• Understanding the behaviour of anycast during a node switch
  
  Using the .CL anycast infrastructure, we will test the convergence time of an anycast cloud with four nodes, and check how the load changes.
• DNS workload visualization
  
  Prepared a tool to visualize DNS load (by number of queries or by number of clients) aggregated by country. Now it's being featured at CAIDA's home page.


Using the data collected during January 2007 on 4 out of 13 DNS root servers, analyze different parameters to evaluate the stability of the anycast system.
• Emerging queries (Work in progress)
  
  Using a whole year of data captured at .CL nameservers, investigate about the "emerging queries". DNS queries related with new technologies as EDNS, IDN, DNSSEC, IPv6, etc.
