Visualization Thumbnail Evaluation
Strengths:
(Strength1): More information can be seen amid less clutter. This is particularly useful when considering both global topological structure as well as local domain- or node-specific characteristics.
(Strength2): Motion by hyperbolic isometries provides mathematically elegant navigation.
Issues:
(Issue1): Method depends on the existence of enough domain-specific information (e.g., about the network backbone) to derive a good spanning tree.
(Issue2): Method 'hides' some data at the edges in order to provide a central focus, so visualization of all data works better interactively than as a still image.
