Mingwei Zhang

Mingwei is an Internet data scientist, working on the development of various BGP related projects such as BGPStream and BGP hijacks detection and remediation. See also Mingwei's homepage.

Background

Mingwei is originally from Beijing, China. He graduated from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, and joined the Ph.D. program in computer science at the University of Oregon in 2012. In 2018, he joined CAIDA as Internet data scientist, and lives happily ever after. He received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the University of Oregon in 2019. Mingwei’s research interests are Internet routing and its security, Internet measurement, data analysis, and data visualization.

Mingwei was with CAIDA until July 2021.
